Kristallpark at the moutain station

The Spieljoch mountain massif was already a centre of mining hundreds of years ago. For our children, we offer a small crystal mine for stone and rock crystal mining.

Where people used to dig with pick and shovel, crystal finds are still guaranteed today! In a 60-minute supervised sessions, the children experience searching for rock crystals at the crystal water basins and how to fill their leather pockets. The tour then continues into the mine, where the pit dogs, already stored on rails and filled with overburden, are just waiting to release even larger and more beautiful rock crystals, which also go into the leather pouch after the stones have been washed out.

Afterwards, the most beautiful three crystals are taken out of their leather pockets and turned into souvenirs. The children fill black glittering quartz sand into small glass containers in which their most beautiful rock crystals can be placed on display and taken home.
